Why does Alto Weather require iOS 26?
Alto Weather is built using the latest iOS frameworks and design APIs introduced in iOS 26. It cannot run on earlier versions.
Does the app need an account?
No. Alto Weather works entirely without accounts. No sign-up, no login, no personal information collected.
What data sources does Alto Weather use?
Forecasts come from Apple WeatherKit, Open-Meteo, National Weather Service, and MET Norway. Radar is powered by RainViewer. Maps use Apple MapKit.
Is my location stored anywhere?
No. Your location is sent directly from your device to weather providers to return forecasts. Alto Weather does not operate servers or store your location history.
